Description
The TP-SW8GBT-2SFP Power over Ethernet (PoE) 10-Port Gigabit Switch from Tycon delivers high-speed Layer 2+ Ethernet performance with advanced manageability and robust power capabilities. Specifically, this switch features 2 GigE PoE++ (90W) ports, 6 GigE PoE+ (30W) ports, and 2 SFP 2.5G ports, providing versatile connectivity options. Moreover, the PoE ports are fully manageable via the user interface, delivering a combined total power output of 360W. By utilizing industry-standard 802.3at/bt detection, it ensures seamless, automatic operation.
Advanced Security and Control
To bolster network security, the switch includes protocols like SSH, which ensure secure access to the command interface. Furthermore, the interface is accessible through the serial console port or any Ethernet port and can be controlled using a web browser, CLI, TELNET, SSH, or SNMP.
Enhanced L2+ Features
In addition to its power capabilities, this switch is packed with L2+ features that enhance manageability, security, and performance. Key functions include VLAN, Port Mirroring, Port Isolation, IGMP Snooping, DHCP Snooping, LLDP, ARP Inspection, Storm Control, IP Source Guard, Access Control Lists, and PoE++ management. Additionally, capabilities like Spanning Tree, Jumbo Frames, Cable Diagnostics, and Ring Topology further optimize operations.
Energy Efficiency with Green Ethernet Standards
The switch also complies with Green Ethernet standards, actively reducing energy consumption. For example, it powers down Ethernet drivers on inactive ports and instantly resumes active mode without packet loss when a link becomes active. Similarly, the switch adjusts signal strength based on cable length to maximize energy efficiency.
Reliable Power Input and Design
Requiring a 48VDC to 57VDC input, the switch features dual input wire-terminal connectors that support up to 12AWG wire, ensuring dependable operation even in challenging conditions.
Finally, the switch is designed for reliability, supporting Category 5 or higher Ethernet cables for network distances up to 100m and fiber ports with optical ranges up to 120Km. Additionally, shielded and grounded RJ45 connectors prevent interference, while surge protection safeguards all ports. With its conformal coating for moisture resistance and a wide operating temperature range, this switch is ideal for demanding outdoor and industrial environments.
