The TP-SW5G-D-BT Power over Ethernet (PoE) 5-Port Gigabit Switch from Tycon Systems® delivers exceptional high-speed and high-power Layer 2 Ethernet performance. This versatile switch includes one 802.3bt PoE input and four 802.3bt PoE outputs, providing ample power and data connectivity for various devices. Ports 1-4 support 802.3af/at/bt standards, delivering up to 90W PoE per port by utilizing 2 or 4 pairs for power. Meanwhile, Uplink Port 5 accepts up to 70W PoE on 4 pairs, enabling the switch to power itself and connected devices remotely over CAT5 or higher Ethernet cables.
Moreover, the Ethernet specification ensures network distances up to 100m (328ft) between the PoE switch and the remote device. Additionally, using the switch as a repeater extends the total Ethernet distance to an impressive 200m. This makes it ideal for extensive networking setups where reliable connectivity over long distances is crucial.
The switch draws power from two different interfaces: a Wire Terminal Connector, which can handle 10A (approximately 500W max), or the 802.3bt PoE input to Uplink Port 5, which supports up to 70W max.
