The TP-POE-HP-48G PoE Injector from Tycon Power is a robust midspan solution, engineered for dependable, long-term performance even in the most challenging environments. First, it efficiently accepts data-in through a shielded RJ45 jack and delivers surge-protected data-out and power through the shielded RJ45 output jack. By supplying power to the remote device on the unused Ethernet pins 4,5 (V+) and 7,8 (V-), the device ensures consistent operation. In the case of the “R” model, the voltage is reversed to 4,5 (V-) and 7,8 (V+). Additionally, the Ethernet specification supports reliable distances up to 100m (328 feet).

Moreover, these units feature automatic ranging, adjusting to varying input voltages. They accept AC inputs ranging from 90VAC to 264VAC (50/60 Hz) and supply regulated DC voltage at the output. To enhance durability, the units are equipped with protections against surge, short circuits, overloads, and overvoltage, ensuring reliable and safe operation. Furthermore, the high-power models provide up to 50W with a 48-56V DC output, delivering load regulation within 5%. Additionally, the CI model incorporates a current-sensing LED that changes color when a PoE device is connected to the CAT5 cable.

If your remote device does not support Power over Ethernet, no worries—simply use PoE splitters (POE-SPLT-S) to separate the data and DC voltage. Additionally, if reverse voltage is needed, the POE-XOVER cable will ensure a secure connection.
