Description
The TP-POE-48G PoE power source or PoE Injector, offered by Tycon Power, delivers a robust, reliable solution for continuous operation in even the toughest conditions. It quickly accepts data input via a shielded RJ45 jack and seamlessly provides surge-protected data and power through the shielded RJ45 output jack. This unit efficiently supplies power to remote devices using the unused Ethernet pins 4,5 (V+) and 7,8 (V-). For the “R” model, the voltage is reversed to 4,5 (V-) and 7,8 (V+), maintaining seamless functionality. Moreover, the Ethernet specification supports distances of up to 100m (328 feet), ensuring flexibility and reliability.
The unit is autoranging, accepting AC inputs from 90VAC to 264VAC (50/60 Hz) while delivering regulated DC voltage at the output. To ensure maximum protection, the TP-POE-48G includes safeguards for surge, short circuit, overload, and overvoltage. The medium-power model provides up to 24W of power output and features a 48-56V DC output with load regulation within 5%. Additionally, the CI model is equipped with a current-sensing LED that changes color when a PoE device is connected to the CAT5 cable, providing instant status feedback.
If the remote device does not support Power over Ethernet, PoE splitters (POE-SPLT-S) can easily split the data and DC voltage at the remote device. Furthermore, for devices requiring reverse voltage, the POE-XOVER cable offers a simple and effective solution.
