Description
The TP-DCDC-1248GD from Tycon Power® provides a highly efficient, cost-effective DC to DC Converter solution for delivering IEEE802.3af from a 12VDC or 24VDC power source, such as a battery system or vehicle. This unit seamlessly integrates a PoE injector that applies both power and data to the CAT5/6 Ethernet cable, ensuring reliable and continuous performance. Notably, the output voltage is regulated and protected, guaranteeing long-lasting reliability.
Moreover, the unit features two common (-) and two (+) inputs, allowing you to connect both primary and backup power sources for enhanced reliability. To further safeguard the system, it incorporates surge, short circuit, and overload protections. Additionally, both the input and output are isolated, and for industrial applications, a metal enclosure model is also available, offering superior durability in harsh environments.
The injector accepts gigabit data-in through a shielded RJ45 jack and delivers gigabit data-out, along with PoE power, via the shielded RJ45 output jack. Power is supplied through Ethernet pins 4,5 (V+) and 7,8 (V-), ensuring a stable and secure connection. In addition, various protections are built-in to prevent surge, short circuit, and overload. Depending on the specific model, power output reaches up to 24W, making this device versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications.
